What is XWRAP® ? Amnion Derived AllograFT

The thin-walled sac that surrounds the fetus during pregnancy and contains amniotic fluid is called the amniotic sac.

A blue ball is in the middle of many white balls.

Amniotic sac is a Thin-walled Sac That Surrounds The Ferus (amniotic Fluid) and the membrane. That Covers The Fetal Side of the Placenta (Amnion)

Description:

A tough but thin, transparent pair of membranes that surrounds the fetus and contains amniotic fluid

Function:

Protects the fetus from injury and temperature changes, allows for fetal movement, and helps develop the fetus's muscles and bones.

What happens during labor:

The amniotic sac often ruptures during labor, which is often called "when the water breaks".

Other Facts:

The amniotic sac has two layers: the outermost layer, called the chorion, lines the uterus, and the layer closer to the fetus, called the amnion.

XWRAP customers have provided anecdotal evidence suggesting that XWRAP outperforms other skin substitutes currently available in the market. This superiority stems from its unique processing, dehydration, and sterilization methods. The proprietary processing of XWRAP has demonstrated superior handling and biodegradability characteristics. It exhibits a slower and more controlled breakdown, thereby offering prolonged and enhanced performance as a protective cover and wound barrier. The product undergoes natural dehydration without heat and a gentle sterilization process, which helps preserve its durability and extracellular matrix.

In contrast, similar products not subjected to such sterilization tend to rapidly degrade, resulting in inferior performance compared to XWRAP. XWRAP has been selected for its exceptional performance attributes, expected to reduce product usage and enhance patient outcomes. Ongoing clinical studies on XWRAP are currently underway, with results anticipated for publication by the end of the year.
